Firedome Firefighting Helmets come in thermoplastic, fiberglass, or Thermoglass. Thermoplastic outer shells provide greater impact and penetration resistance than fiberglass and more reliable with repeated heat exposures. Fiberglass outer shells are more resistant to chemical attack and more stable at extreme temperatures than those made of thermoplastic. Fiberglass helmets also feature color pigment molded directly into the material, making nicks and chips less visible. Thermoglas combines all these traits in one product. All helmets come with the Sure-Lock ratchet headband suspension for easy adjustment and superior comfort. Optically correct face shields are standard as well. Certified to NFPA 1971 Standard on Protective Ensemble for Structural Fire Fighting, 1997 Edition.
